Surridge Brace Seals Six-Goal Thriller as Nashville Outgun Charlotte
Nashville SC produced an attacking statement in MLS play with a 4–2 home victory over Charlotte FC on Matchday 10, powered by a starring turn from Hany Mukhtar and a decisive second-half brace from substitute Sam Surridge.
The hosts struck first on 19 minutes, when Mukhtar opened the scoring. The playmaker combined neatly with Ahmed Qasem, who supplied the assist as Nashville grabbed early control at 1–0.
Qasem then turned finisher six minutes later. After finding space in the Charlotte area, he converted from a pass by Cristian Espinoza to double Nashville’s advantage and cap a dominant opening spell for the home side.

Any hopes of a full comeback were ended on 74 minutes. Mukhtar turned provider again, slipping in Surridge, who struck his second of the night to restore a two-goal cushion and complete the 4–2 scoreline.
The closing stages brought a flurry of substitutions and a trio of yellow cards: Alex Muyl (77′) and goalkeeper Brian Schwake (87′) for Nashville, and David Schnegg (84′) for Charlotte.
