Late Ivanovic Brace Seals Benfica’s 4–1 Win Over Moreirense
Sport Lisboa e Benfica powered to a 4–1 home victory over Moreirense FC on Saturday, rounding off Primeira Liga matchday 31 with a flurry of late goals in Lisbon.
Benfica made a blistering start, going ahead inside two minutes. Leandro Barreiro Martins opened the scoring, finishing a move created by defender Antonio Silva to give the hosts an early 1–0 lead.
Moreirense responded well and drew level in the 26th minute. Diogo Travassos converted after being set up by André Ferreira, making it 1–1 and briefly silencing the home crowd.
The parity lasted only three minutes. In the 29th minute, Richard Rios restored Benfica’s advantage with a composed finish, assisted by Barreiro. That strike sent Benfica into the break 2–1 up.

Ivanovic proved decisive in the closing stages. In the 89th minute he made it 3–1, finishing a move supplied by Rios. Two minutes into added time, the forward struck again, this time assisted by Dedić, to complete a late brace and seal a comprehensive 4–1 win.
The match also featured four yellow cards: Fredrik Aursnes and Rios were booked for Benfica, while Afonso Assis and Fabiano Silva saw yellow for Moreirense.
