Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker has taken a major step towards a potential move to Juventus, after reportedly agreeing personal terms with the Serie A giants.
According to transfer expert Nicolò Schira, the Brazilian has reached an agreement on a three-year contract running until 2029, worth around €5 million per season. Juventus are now working to finalise a deal with Liverpool, although the Premier League club has yet to decide whether to sanction a transfer.
Alisson, who joined Liverpool from Roma in 2018 for €72.5 million, has spent eight seasons at Anfield and established himself as one of the world’s top goalkeepers. However, with just one year remaining on his current deal, Liverpool must now weigh up whether to sell this summer or risk losing him for free in 2027.
Reports from Italy suggest the player’s camp is already pushing for a smooth exit, with talks accelerating as Juventus look to strengthen their squad ahead of next season.
Liverpool’s decision is further complicated by uncertainty over potential replacement Giorgi Mamardashvili. The Georgian goalkeeper, signed from Valencia in 2024, has been viewed as Alisson’s long-term successor, but questions remain over whether he is ready to step into a starting role.
Data analysis has also raised concerns, indicating that Liverpool’s goalkeeping department may not be among the strongest areas of the squad, with Alisson still their best option despite ranking outside the very top performers statistically.
With Juventus pushing to complete the deal and Alisson open to the move, Liverpool now face a crucial decision that could shape their squad planning heading into the new season.
