Barcelona are lining up Chelsea forward Joao Pedro as a potential successor to Robert Lewandowski amid growing uncertainty over the veteran striker’s future.

Reports from Globo suggest Lewandowski is close to agreeing a high-value move to Al-Hilal, prompting Barcelona to accelerate plans to bring in a new focal point in attack. The club’s sporting director Deco is said to be leading the process, with Joao Pedro emerging as one of the primary targets alongside Julian Alvarez.

The Brazilian has impressed in his debut season at Chelsea, delivering strong numbers with 23 goals and nine assists in 51 appearances. His performances have reinforced his reputation as a versatile and dynamic forward capable of leading the line.

Chelsea, however, are not expected to entertain offers easily, given Pedro’s importance to the squad and his rapid impact since arriving.

Barcelona are hoping their ability to offer Champions League football could play a key role in any potential negotiations, as they look to secure a long-term replacement for Lewandowski.
