Arsenal are reportedly stepping up their interest in Paris Saint-Germain winger Bradley Barcola as Mikel Arteta looks to strengthen his attacking options ahead of the new season.
The Gunners are in the market for a left-sided forward, with uncertainty surrounding the futures of Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard. Barcola has emerged as a leading target, offering pace, versatility and proven output at the highest level.
The 23-year-old has continued to impress despite sharing minutes with Khvicha Kvaratskhelia at PSG. He has registered 12 goals and seven assists in 45 appearances this season, building on an even more productive previous campaign in which he delivered 42 goal contributions in 64 matches.
Arsenal are believed to be exploring the possibility of taking advantage of his rotational role in Paris to persuade him to move to the Emirates, with initial discussions already underway. However, they are not alone in the race, as Barcelona and Liverpool are also monitoring the situation closely.
Any deal is likely to be complicated. Barcola remains under contract until 2028, and PSG are expected to demand a significant fee to consider a sale.
Still, Arsenal view him as a player capable of elevating their attack both domestically and in Europe. Comfortable on either flank but most effective from the left, Barcola fits Arteta’s tactical profile and long-term vision.
With his age, versatility and consistent end product, the French international is seen as a potential cornerstone signing — and one Arsenal may not want to miss if the opportunity arises.
