Real Racing Club de Santander produced a clinical away performance to beat Real Sociedad B 3–1 on matchday 36 of the Segunda División on 17 April 2026.
The visitors seized control almost immediately. In the 10th minute, Andrés Martín opened the scoring for Racing, finishing a move created by Iñigo Vicente, whose assist set the tone for a dominant first-half display. Just three minutes later, Giorgi Guliashvili doubled the advantage with a strike that left the home side reeling at 0–2 down inside the opening quarter of an hour.
Real Sociedad B struggled to find rhythm and were increasingly forced into reactive defending, reflected in a flurry of first-half bookings for Kazunari Kita, Tomy Carbonell and Mikel Rodríguez. Racing’s only caution before the break went to Marco Sangalli on 45 minutes.
Any hopes of a comeback were dealt a further blow on the hour mark when Vicente turned scorer. The Racing attacker made it 3–0, giving the visitors a commanding lead and effectively settling the contest before the final half-hour.
Both coaches turned to their benches around the 67th minute, with Andrés Martín withdrawn for Asier Villalibre, while the hosts introduced Lander, Alex Marchal and Unax Agote in search of a response. Additional changes followed for both sides, as Racing looked to manage their advantage and Real Sociedad B chased a way back into the match.
The home team finally found a consolation goal on 86 minutes. Gorka Carrera pulled one back, finishing after good work from substitute Lander to reduce the deficit to 3–1. However, Racing comfortably saw out the closing stages, despite late yellow cards shown to Alberto Dadie, Arkaitz Mariezkurrena and Aritz Aldasoro.
