Perth Glory FC claimed a 3–1 win over Macarthur FC in A-League action on matchday 24, with a flurry of second-half goals deciding the contest after a tight opening period.
The match, played on 12 April 2026, remained goalless until the interval before Perth struck first shortly after the restart. In the 48th minute, Nicholas Pennington opened the scoring for the hosts, finishing a move created by Sebastian Despotovski to give Glory a 1–0 lead.
Macarthur responded midway through the second half. Substitute Luke Vickery, introduced in the 56th minute, levelled the match in the 68th minute with an equaliser assisted by experienced midfielder Luke Brattan, bringing the score to 1–1 and briefly swinging momentum towards the visitors.
Perth, however, quickly reasserted control. In the 76th minute, Gabriel Popovic restored the home side’s advantage, finding the net after good work from fellow substitute Stefan Colakovski. That goal proved pivotal, putting Glory 2–1 up heading into the closing stages.
Macarthur made further changes in search of a second equaliser, but Perth’s bench again made the difference in stoppage time. In the 90th minute plus five, substitute Arion Sulemani added a third goal, set up by Andriano Lebib, to close out the match at 3–1 and secure all three points for the home team.
The game featured several bookings, including early yellow cards for Macarthur’s Luke Brattan and Perth’s Scott Wootton, while later cautions were shown to Popovic, Tomislav Uskok, Vickery, and Despotovski as the tempo rose in the final minutes.
Beyond the goals, substitutions, and yellow cards recorded, detailed statistical data and further match events were not available at the time of writing.
