PFK Sochi claimed an important 1–0 away win over PFC CSKA Moskva on RFPL matchday 24, with an early penalty from Martin Kramarič proving decisive in Moscow.
The only goal arrived in the 11th minute when Sochi were awarded a penalty, which Kramarič confidently converted to give the visitors a 1–0 lead. The strike stood as the game’s defining moment, as CSKA were unable to find a response despite pushing for an equaliser.
Both coaches turned to their benches immediately after the break. CSKA introduced Henrique Fabiano for Danila Kozlov at half-time in search of more attacking impetus, while Sochi withdrew goalscorer Kramarič and brought on Gustavo Furtado, and also replaced Artem Makarchuk with Sergey Volkov.
The second half featured a series of tactical substitutions. Dmitry Barinov made way for Tamerlan Musaev for CSKA on 68 minutes, while Sochi refreshed their attacking options with Anton Zinkovskiy replacing Mikhail Ignatov and Vladimir Ilyin coming on for Zakhar Fedorov around the 70-minute mark.
Discipline became a factor as the match grew more physical. Sochi picked up three yellow cards, shown to Aleksandr Kovalenko on 52 minutes, Aleksandr Degtev on 62, and Gustavo Furtado on 77. CSKA’s Fabio Celestini was also booked in the 76th minute.
Late in the game, CSKA introduced Moisés for Milan Gajić and Maksim Voronov for Kirill Glebov, while Sochi brought on Dmitriy Vasilyev for Kovalenko to help see out the result. Despite the home side’s attempts to apply pressure, Sochi held firm to protect Kramarič’s early penalty and secure all three points.
