RB Bragantino claimed a tight 1–0 away victory over Mirassol FC on matchday 10 of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A on Sunday, thanks to a decisive second-half strike from Isidro Pitta.
After a goalless first half, the breakthrough arrived in the 51st minute. Pitta finished off a move created by Lucas Barbosa, whose assist set up the forward to put RB Bragantino 1–0 ahead and ultimately secure all three points for the visitors.
The match saw an early enforced change for Bragantino, with José Herrera replaced by Marcelinho Braz in the 35th minute. Mirassol responded to falling behind with a flurry of substitutions, including the introduction of Carlos Eduardo and Gabriel at the start of the second half as they chased an equaliser.
Discipline became a growing factor as the game wore on. Mirassol’s João Victor picked up a yellow card in the 59th minute, while Bragantino’s Juninho Capixaba, goalscorer Pitta, and Herrera were all cautioned in the second half. Mirassol’s Carlos Eduardo also went into the referee’s book in the 78th minute as the hosts pushed forward in search of a late leveller.
Despite further changes from both benches, including the introduction of Fabinho and Pedro Henrique for Bragantino and André Luis and Edson Carioca for Mirassol, the scoreline remained unchanged. Pitta was substituted in the 85th minute for Eric Ramires as Bragantino looked to see out the result.
With detailed statistics such as possession, shots, and full lineups not available, the defining moment of the contest was clearly Pitta’s 51st-minute goal, which proved enough to separate the sides in this closely contested regular-season clash.
