Last-Gasp Amiri Penalty Denies Gladbach Crucial Home Win Against Mainz

Borussia Mönchengladbach saw three points slip away late as they drew 1–1 at home to 1. FSV Mainz 05 on Matchday 30 of the Bundesliga on Sunday, 19 April 2026.

The turning point came at the very end. In the 90th minute plus eight, Nadiem Amiri kept his composure from the spot to convert a penalty for Mainz, levelling the score at 1–1 and rescuing a valuable away point.
