Go Ahead Eagles delivered a ruthless performance on Eredivisie matchday 29, dismantling PEC Zwolle 5–0 in a one-sided encounter on 5 April 2026.

The hosts made a flying start and were three goals up inside the opening quarter of an hour. In the 4th minute, Stefán Ingi Sigurðarson finished a move set up by Aske Adelgaard to make it 1–0. Go Ahead kept their foot on the pedal, and in the 15th minute Victor Edvardsen added a third, again assisted by Sampsted, as PEC Zwolle struggled to cope with the early onslaught.

Zwolle’s problems were compounded before the break when Koen Kostons received a yellow card in the 36th minute. Head coach changes at half-time saw Tristan Gooijer replaced by Olivier Aertssen and Kostons withdrawn for Nick Fichtinger, but the visitors could not turn the tide.

Go Ahead resumed control after the interval. Adelgaard, already on the assist sheet, got on the scoresheet himself in the 56th minute, making it 4–0 after being set up by Jakob Breum. The fifth goal arrived in the 63rd minute when Mathis Suray struck following an assist from substitute Evert Linthorst.

Both sides used the comfortable scoreline to rotate heavily, with Go Ahead introducing the likes of Jaden Slory, Thibo Baeten, Giovanni van Zwam and Ofosu Boakye, while PEC Zwolle brought on Gabriël Reiziger and Simon Graves late on. No further goals followed as the hosts saw out an emphatic clean-sheet victory.
