Berterame Denies Gil as Internacional CF Miami Rally to Draw with Revolution
Internacional CF Miami fought back to secure a 1–1 draw against New England Revolution in MLS regular-season action on matchday 10, with Germán Berterame cancelling out Carles Gil’s opener in the second half.
After a goalless first half in Miami, New England broke the deadlock in the 56th minute. Carles Gil found space and converted to give the visitors a 1–0 lead, finishing off a move created by Dor Turgeman, who was credited with the assist.
The goal prompted a response from the hosts, who had already introduced Tadeo Allende at half-time for Noah Allen. Internacional CF Miami continued to adjust, later bringing on Ian Fray and Ezequiel Abadia-Reda as they chased a way back into the contest.
The equaliser arrived in the 76th minute. Berterame struck to level the score at 1–1, with the goal recorded as unassisted. The timing of the goal came moments after Abadia-Reda had entered the pitch for Facundo Mura, helping to sustain Miami’s attacking momentum in the closing stages.
New England turned to their bench as well, with Luca Langoni coming on at the break for Illay Feingold, and later Jackson Yueill, Tanner Beason and Diego Fagúndez introduced to help protect the lead and then the point once Miami had drawn level.
Internacional CF Miami picked up three yellow cards in the second half: Allende was cautioned in the 59th minute, followed by David Ruiz in the 67th and Micael in the 90th, underlining the home side’s combative approach as they pushed to avoid defeat.
