Late Jája Silva Strike Stuns Botafogo as Remo Snatch Dramatic Win
Clube do Remo produced a late turnaround to defeat Botafogo FR 2–1 in a dramatic Campeonato Brasileiro Série A clash on matchday 14, with Jája Silva scoring deep into added time.
Botafogo started strongly and took the lead in the 13th minute. Defender Nahuel Ferraresi opened the scoring, finishing a move created by Alex Telles, whose assist put the hosts 1–0 up and in early control.
The first half also brought the game’s opening bookings. Botafogo’s Vitinho was shown a yellow card in the 37th minute, before Remo defender Duplexe Tchamba went into the book on the stroke of half-time. Botafogo made an adjustment at the break, introducing Edenilson for Kadir Barría.

As the match moved into stoppage time, Remo completed the comeback. In the 90th minute plus three, Jája Silva found the decisive goal, sealing a 2–1 victory and silencing the home crowd. A flurry of late substitutions from Remo moments earlier helped manage the closing stages as they protected their lead.
