Super Subs Eddahchouri and Carrillo Fire Deportivo Past Leganés
RC Deportivo La Coruña made their substitutions count in a 2–1 home victory over CD Leganés on matchday 38 of the Segunda División, with Zakaria Eddahchouri and Noé Carrillo both scoring after coming off the bench.
Detailed first-half events are not fully available, but the opening 45 minutes passed without a goal and featured a yellow card for Deportivo midfielder Riki Rodríguez in the 19th minute. Rodríguez was replaced at half-time by Diego Villares as Deportivo sought greater control in midfield.
The game swung decisively after the hour. In the 64th minute, substitute Zakaria Eddahchouri broke the deadlock for Deportivo, finishing a move created by Luismi Cruz to give the hosts a 1–0 lead.
Leganés responded 10 minutes later. In the 74th minute, Juan Cruz levelled the match at 1–1, converting after good work from Duk to silence the home crowd and set up a tense finale.
The parity was short-lived. Just three minutes after the equaliser, in the 77th minute, another Deportivo substitute made the difference. Noé Carrillo, introduced only moments earlier for Luismi Cruz, restored the advantage by making it 2–1, with Peke credited for the assist.
Both coaches turned to their benches heavily in the second half, with Leganés introducing Rubén Pulido Peñas, Andrés Campos, Álex Millán, Óscar Plano and Luis Asué, while Deportivo added Samuele Mulattieri and Sergio Escudero to help protect their narrow lead.
A flurry of late yellow cards followed in stoppage time, with bookings for Deportivo’s Álvaro Fernández and goalscorer Eddahchouri, as well as Leganés winger Naim Garcia, underlining a tense finish. No further goals arrived, and Deportivo held on to secure all three points.
