Karpukas Cancels Out Marichal as Moscow Derby Ends All Square

FK Lokomotiv Moskva and FK Dinamo Moskva shared the points in a hard-fought 1–1 Moscow derby on RFPL matchday 28, with both goals coming either side of half-time.

Dinamo drew first blood in the 24th minute. Defender Nicolas Marichal arrived to finish a move engineered by Bitelo, whose assist created the opening that put the visitors 1–0 up. Lokomotiv were forced into an early change even before falling behind, as César Montes went off in the 22nd minute to be replaced by Gerzino Nyamsi.

Lokomotiv responded after the interval. Just eight minutes into the second half, in the 53rd minute, Artem Karpukas levelled the score, converting after good work from Aleksey Batrakov to make it 1–1 and swing the momentum back towards the hosts.

Both coaches turned to their benches in search of a winner. Lokomotiv introduced Zelimkhan Bakaev at half-time and later brought on Nikolay Komlichenko, Nikita Saltykov and Lucas Vera. Dinamo replied with Nicolas Moumi Ngamaleu at the break and further changes as Dmitrii Skopintsev, Danil Glebov, David Loiola and Ivan Sergeev entered the fray.

The derby grew more heated in the closing stages. Nyamsi received a yellow card for Lokomotiv in the 70th minute, before Skopintsev was booked for Dinamo seven minutes later. A tense finale saw two more cautions in added time, with David Loiola and Batrakov both going into the referee’s book around the 90th minute.

No further goals followed, leaving the capital rivals to settle for a draw in this RFPL regular season clash. Detailed statistical data beyond goals, bookings and substitutions was not available at the time of writing.
