Ronaldo Winner Lifts Rostov Past Dinamo Makhachkala in RFPL Clash

FK Rostov claimed an important 2–1 away victory over FK Dinamo Makhachkala on RFPL matchday 28, decided by a late strike from Ronaldo after a dramatic turnaround in Makhachkala.

The visitors took the lead in the 28th minute in fortuitous fashion. Dinamo defender Jan Đapo inadvertently turned the ball into his own net, handing Rostov a 1–0 advantage and silencing the home crowd early on.

Đapo was substituted at half-time, with Dinamo introducing forward Gamid Agalarov in search of a response. The change paid off on the hour mark. Dinamo were awarded a penalty in the 60th minute, and Agalarov stepped up to convert from the spot, bringing the hosts level at 1–1.

Rostov reacted with their own adjustments, sending on Egor Golenkov for Ivan Komarov in the 63rd minute. The move proved decisive. In the 76th minute, Golenkov provided the assist for Ronaldo, who finished a well-worked move to restore Rostov’s lead at 2–1.

Dinamo pushed for an equaliser in the closing stages, making late changes in the 90th minute as Abdulla Ashurov and Soslan Kagermazov entered the fray. However, Rostov held firm despite a flurry of late bookings. Viktor Melekhin had already seen yellow on 74 minutes, and in stoppage time Rostov players Timur Suleimanov, Rustam Yatimov and Danila Prokhin were all cautioned as the visitors dug in to protect their advantage.

Earlier, Dinamo’s Hazem Mastouri was also booked in the 22nd minute, setting the tone for a competitive encounter. Detailed statistics, lineups and additional match events have not been made available, but the key moments underline a tight contest ultimately settled by Ronaldo’s composed finish.
