Kirian Rodríguez Brace Fires Las Palmas to Comeback Win at Cádiz
UD Las Palmas came from behind to claim a 2–1 victory over Cádiz CF on matchday 37 of the Segunda División, thanks to a decisive brace from Kirian Rodríguez.
The hosts made a flying start in Cádiz, breaking the deadlock in the 4th minute. Joaquín González finished off an early move to put Cádiz 1–0 up, with Suso providing the assist. That advantage, however, lasted only 11 minutes.
In the 15th minute, Kirian Rodríguez struck his first of the night for Las Palmas, levelling the score at 1–1. The midfielder found the net without an assist recorded in the official data, restoring parity and shifting momentum towards the visitors.
Cádiz were forced into an early change on 33 minutes as Juan Díaz replaced Iza, while Las Palmas responded after the break by introducing Marvin Olawale Akinlabi Park for Estanis Pedrola on 57 minutes. The game tightened in midfield, and Cádiz defender Iker Recio went into the book in the 61st minute.
The turning point arrived in the 71st minute when Kirian Rodríguez struck again, completing the comeback to make it 2–1 for Las Palmas. Once more, no assisting player was listed in the match data, but the goal proved decisive as Cádiz chased the game in the final stages.
The hosts made a flurry of attacking substitutions, including the introductions of De la Rosa, Dawda Camara, Álex and Jeronimo Domina, but could not find an equaliser. Las Palmas, for their part, used late changes to manage the closing moments, including withdrawing match-winner Kirian in stoppage time.
Cádiz’s evening worsened in the 90th minute when Bojan Kovačević was shown a red card, leaving the home side with ten men as Las Palmas saw out the win.
Beyond the listed goals, bookings and substitutions, more detailed match statistics and events were not available in the provided data.
