Bouda Brace and Werner Shine as Earthquakes Stun LAFC 4–1
San Jose Earthquakes produced a blistering second-half display to defeat Los Angeles FC 4–1 in MLS Regular Season action on matchday 8, powered by a brace from Ousseni Bouda and a standout performance from Timo Werner.
After a tight first half that featured bookings for LAFC's Timothy Tillman and few clear chances in the available data, the match exploded into life after the break. In the 53rd minute, Bouda opened the scoring for San Jose, finishing a move created by Werner to give the visitors a 1–0 lead.
Just three minutes later, Werner doubled the advantage. The forward struck in the 56th minute, this time assisted by Beau Leroux, pushing the Earthquakes into a commanding 2–0 position. LAFC's frustrations grew when Ryan Porteous turned the ball into his own net in the 58th minute, making it 3–0 and compounding the home side's defensive woes.
