Both coaches made extensive use of their benches, with a series of substitutions around half-time and midway through the second half, including the introductions of Matheus Doria, Cauly, Enzo Díaz and André Silva for São Paulo, and Kauã Moraes, Lucas Silva, Wanderson and Chico among others for Cruzeiro.
