Valverde Strike Cancelled Out as Girona Hold Real Madrid to 1–1 Draw

Real Madrid were held to a 1–1 home draw by Girona FC on matchday 31 of the Primera Division, as Thomas Lemar’s second-half equaliser pegged back Federico Valverde’s opener.

Girona responded strongly and were rewarded just over ten minutes later. In the 62nd minute, Arnau Martinez provided the assist for Thomas Lemar, who struck to level the score at 1–1 and silence the home crowd.

Both coaches turned to their benches soon after the equaliser. Real Madrid introduced Dean Huijsen and Arda Guler in the 64th minute, replacing Éder Militão and Jude Bellingham, while Girona brought on Abel Ruiz for Claudio Echeverri at the same time.
