Late Lewandowski Strike Edges Barcelona Past Osasuna in Pamplona

FC Barcelona left it late but secured a vital 2–1 victory over CA Osasuna on matchday 34 of the Primera Division, with all three goals arriving in a dramatic final 10 minutes in Pamplona.

After a tight, largely uneventful contest in terms of clear-cut chances, the breakthrough finally came in the 81st minute. Marcus Rashford, introduced from the bench just after the hour mark, set up Robert Lewandowski, who finished to put Barcelona 1–0 ahead.

Five minutes later, the visitors appeared to have sealed the points. Another substitute combination paid off as Fermín López provided the assist for Ferrán Torres in the 86th minute, doubling Barça’s lead to 2–0.

Osasuna, however, refused to fold. In the 88th minute, substitute Raúl pulled one back for the hosts, converting after good work from fellow replacement Abel Bretones to make it 2–1 and set up a tense finale. Despite the late pressure, Barcelona held firm to see out the win.

The match featured four yellow cards: Pablo Gavira (24′) and Eric García (60′) for Barcelona, and Jon Moncayola (74′) plus Kike Barja (90′) for Osasuna. Both coaches leaned heavily on their benches, with Rashford, Ferrán Torres, Frenkie de Jong and Ronald Araújo all entering for Barcelona, while Osasuna brought on Aimar Oroz, Raúl, Kike Barja, Asier Osambela and Abel Bretones.

Detailed statistics such as possession figures, shots and full lineups were not available at the time of writing. The result, however, is clear: Barcelona’s late surge keeps their league campaign on track, while Osasuna are left to rue a spirited but ultimately unsuccessful comeback.
