SG Dynamo Dresden earned an impressive 2–0 home win over VfL Bochum 1848 on Matchday 30 of the 2. Bundesliga, with goals in each half from Jason Ceka and Vincent Vermeij proving decisive.
Dresden made a flying start. In the 5th minute, Jason Ceka opened the scoring, finishing after being set up by Ben Bobzien to give the hosts an early 1–0 lead. The goal settled Dresden and forced Bochum to chase the game from the outset.
Bochum’s task grew more complicated when Erhan Mašović received a yellow card in the 34th minute. After the break, Leandro Morgalla was also booked on 54 minutes as the visitors continued to struggle for control.
Dresden doubled their advantage in the 58th minute. Once again Bobzien provided the assist, this time for Vincent Vermeij, who made it 2–0 and put the hosts firmly in command.
Bochum tried to respond with a flurry of substitutions just after the hour mark, introducing Kjell Wätjen and Farid Alfa-Ruprecht on 64 minutes and later bringing on Kevin Vogt and Kacper Koscierski in the 76th minute, followed by Moritz-Broni Kwarteng on 83 minutes. However, they were unable to break down Dresden’s defence.
Dresden also refreshed their side, with Jakob Lemmer replacing Ceka in the 69th minute. Tony Menzel and Lukas Boeder came on in the 74th minute, before late changes saw Luca Herrmann and Christoph Daferner introduced on 85 minutes for Robert Wagner and Vermeij respectively, helping the hosts see out the result.
The victory secures all three points for Dynamo Dresden in their push for a strong finish in the 2. Bundesliga. Detailed statistics such as possession figures, shots, and lineups were not available at the time of writing.
