Ben House Brace Fires Lincoln City Past Doncaster in League One

Ben House struck in both halves to give Lincoln City FC a composed 2–0 victory away to Doncaster Rovers FC in League One on matchday 40 (21 April 2026).

The visitors edged in front just before the interval. In the 43rd minute, House finished off a move created by Jack Moylan, putting Lincoln 1–0 up and changing the complexion of a first half in which Doncaster had already picked up bookings for Robbie Gotts and Jack Senior.

Doncaster responded at the break with a change, as George Broadbent replaced Gotts on 46 minutes, and later made a triple attacking push with further substitutions on the hour mark and into the final quarter. Despite the reshuffle, Lincoln remained disciplined and waited for the moment to secure the points.

The decisive second goal arrived on 72 minutes. House again found the net, this time assisted by Robert Street, doubling Lincoln’s advantage and effectively ending Doncaster’s hopes of a comeback. Doncaster’s frustrations were underlined by a late yellow card for Sean Grehan on 74 minutes.

Lincoln managed the closing stages with a series of substitutions, introducing Recco Hackett-Fairchild, Deji Elerewe, Tom Bayliss, Alfie Lloyd and Dom Jefferies to see out the win. Doncaster brought on Thomas Nixon, Jordan Gibson, Darren Robinson and Glenn Middleton but could not find a way through.

The result finishes 2–0 to Lincoln City, with House the clear match-winner. Beyond goals, bookings and substitutions, detailed statistical data and other match events are not available at this time.
