Pedro Brace Leads Flamengo to Emphatic 4–0 Win at CA Mineiro
CR Flamengo produced a dominant display on matchday 13 of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, sweeping aside CA Mineiro 4–0 away from home on 26 April 2026.
Flamengo struck early through Pedro, who opened the scoring in the 8th minute after being set up by Samuel Lino. The visitors controlled proceedings from that point and doubled their advantage in the 31st minute, when Gonzalo Plata finished another move created by Lino to make it 2–0.
The first half ended with CA Mineiro reeling as Giorgian De Arrascaeta added a third goal in first-half stoppage time (45+1′). The Uruguayan playmaker converted after Guillermo Varela provided the assist, effectively putting the contest out of reach before the interval.
Flamengo had already seen Varela cautioned in the 26th minute, while Samuel Lino joined him in the book on 45 minutes. CA Mineiro’s Tomás Pérez received a yellow card shortly after the restart, in the 48th minute.
Seeking a response, CA Mineiro made a double change at half-time, introducing Alan Minda and Tomás Pérez for Bernard and Alan Franco. Later in the second half, Gustavo Scarpa and Dudu came on in the 74th minute in an attempt to inject creativity and pace, but the hosts were unable to find a way back into the match.
Flamengo, meanwhile, managed the game through several substitutions, including bringing on Luiz Araújo and Saúl in the 73rd minute, followed by Bruno Henrique and Ayrton Lucas in the 82nd minute. The visitors added further gloss to the scoreline in the 84th minute when Pedro netted his second of the night, this time assisted by Evertton, to complete the 4–0 rout.
