Falkirk Edge Five-Goal Thriller at Motherwell to Boost Premiership Push

Falkirk FC claimed a valuable 3–2 win over Motherwell FC on matchday 32 of the Scottish Premiership, holding off a late fightback in a lively encounter on 4 April 2026.

Motherwell responded well after the early setback and were rewarded in the 34th minute. Elliot Watt struck to bring the hosts level at 1–1, briefly shifting the momentum in favour of the home side.

Just as Motherwell looked to be settling, Falkirk restored their advantage on the stroke of half-time. Ben Broggio found the net in the 45th minute, sending the visitors into the break 2–1 up.

The second half turned on a key moment just after the hour mark. Following a spell of Falkirk pressure, the away side were awarded a penalty in the 62nd minute. Miller stepped up and converted from the spot to extend the lead to 3–1.

Motherwell’s persistence paid off deep into stoppage time. In the 90+4th minute, Tawanda Maswanhise pulled one back, finishing from an Elijah Just assist to make it 3–2, but there was no time for an equaliser.
