Bradford City Edge Exeter on Final Day Thanks to Jackson and Sarcevic

Bradford City AFC signed off their League One season with a hard-fought 2–1 victory away to Exeter City FC on matchday 46, clinching the points despite a stoppage-time scare at the end of the regular campaign.

The visitors struck first on 27 minutes. Kayden Jackson gave Bradford the lead, finishing a move created by George Lapslie, whose assist helped make it 1–0. The goal separated the sides at the break, with Exeter also collecting two first-half bookings for Edward James on 15 minutes and Danny Andrew on 43 minutes.

However, Bradford doubled their advantage in the 79th minute when Antoni Sarcevic found the net to make it 2–0, a strike that ultimately proved decisive.

The hosts kept pushing and were finally rewarded deep into stoppage time. In the 90th minute plus three, Josh Magennis pulled one back for Exeter, finishing from a pass by substitute Ryan Rydel to cut the deficit to 2–1. Rydel had earlier been booked in the 86th minute as Exeter committed men forward in search of a late comeback.

Bradford managed the closing moments after introducing Nick Powell, Matthew Pennington and Ciarán Kelly from the bench, and held on to secure all three points in their final regular-season outing.
