Arroyo Strike Earns Cruzeiro Narrow Win Over Remo in Série A
Cruzeiro EC claimed a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Clube do Remo on matchday 13 of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, thanks to a decisive first-half strike from Keny Arroyo.
The visitors found the breakthrough in the 34th minute. Bruno Rodrigues picked out Arroyo, who finished to put Cruzeiro ahead and ultimately secure all three points. The goal shifted the balance of a tight contest, with Remo forced to chase the game from that point on.
Arroyo was in the spotlight again just four minutes later, receiving a yellow card in the 38th minute as the match began to grow more combative. Remo midfielder Zé Ricardo was also booked before the interval on 44 minutes, underlining the intensity of the first half.
Both teams turned to their benches after the break.
